 Division & Role Introduction 

 Linea Aqua is a swimwear manufacturer, established as a joint venture between MAS Holdings and Speedo International in 2001. Linea Aqua operates across Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and in addition to swimwear, also offers activewear solutions to select customers, providing a comprehensive service across performance and lifestyle categories. Along with servicing its joint venture partner, Speedo, the company also services premier international brands such as In Private, Aerie, and Land’s End, and is the go-to manufacturer for high-performance swimwear worn by Olympic athletes. We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to analyze and assess customer designs/samples, machinery requirements whilst ensuring the use of the most productive methods in the pricing and costing process. Prepare and install machine layouts, workplace layouts, whilst carrying out method study and work measurements in order to maximize efficiency and productivity.  

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze samples critically, prepare operations breakdowns, analyze motions, assign Standard Minute Values (SMV’s) for operations using the GSD system and prepare machine layouts in order to facilitate accurate allocation of machines/manpower to obtain optimum output.  
• Produce an accurate costing sheet to achieve a competitive price and give the various costing options to customers in order to reduce the price while adding newness to the product.  
• Facilitate the pilot run for new styles, prepare machine layouts, feeding plans & Standard Work Sheets (STW), whilst participating in change-over meetings and inform the teams accordingly.   
• Provide work study techniques in order to improve efficiency and productivity to achieve customer delivery and quality standards.  
• Analyze and monitor all the product developments based on the best manufacturable method in order to improve operational efficiencies. 

Knowledge and Skills 

• Degree in Textile Technology.  
• At least 2 years experience in a similar capacity.  
• Experience in Non-sewing IE experience would be an added advantage.  
• Strong/effective communication skills
